Measure My Room ↓Measuring Made Simple.
Using a tape measure, measure the longest point of the room in metres for both length and width. Round up to the nearest 0.1m.
This gives you the square metreage (m²) of the main area of the room.
Measure any extra areas (alcoves, bay windows, cupboards) the same way and add their total to your main figure.
We recommend adding 10% on top for cuts, pattern matching and offcuts — our calculator below does this for you automatically.
